In a distant future, where mermaids and humans live side by side, ChaO – a fish princess proposes her hand in marriage to Stephan, a thin-skinned office worker of a shipyard. She turns his life upside down. Stephen, not quite understanding what’s going on, soon moves in with his unpredictable fiancée. Her genuine love breaks Stephan’s emotional barriers, and so an unexpected, emotive romance begins to grow.

Yasuhiro Aoki

Yasuhiro Aoki is an animation director based in Tokyo, Japan. He began his career at Studio Live and later, from the 2000s onward, was actively involved with STUDIO 4ºC. His artistic style captivates audiences with smoothly drawn character animation. In his works, appealing characters with flowing, streamlined forms move across the screen in all directions. Every strand of hair, as well as the tips of fingers and toes, is designed to look beautiful, reflecting the precision of his craft. His animations are also distinguished by an impressive use of light and shadow, creating images that feel nostalgic and translucent.
