On a Thursday evening, 23rd of April, we once again invite you to an exceptional audiovisual walk through the streets of Bydgoszcz, full of music and animation. We start at 8:00 PM from the Municipal Centre of Culture. We will follow Dworcowa street to the city centre – to the Jedynak Department Store building, and then a mysterious, magical yard on Gdańska street. That’s where VELVET speciality coffee | art gallery is located – a welcoming, cozy haven filled with the aroma of coffee, inviting reflection and the exchange of experiences that evening. As you can probably guess, this won’t be an ordinary evening stroll! It will be filled with dub sounds and colorful animations.

Since the first edition of this event, the visual side of it is cared for by students of ASP in Gdańsk and UAP in Poznań, and participants of the mapping workshops in art high school in Bydgoszcz. What can you expect during this walk? Well, definitely expect the unexpected! As you would from an animation born from the combination of youthful student energy and the experience of lecturers. It will be colorful, monochromatic, dynamic, surprisingly simple, slowly flowing, and energetic all at once. It’s worth noting that mapping is not just casually prepared visuals. These are full-scale animations inspired by specific locations and meticulously designed for particular walls. And they are by no means indifferent to the music that accompanies them. Speaking of which… music! Alongside the walls and animations, it will – no pun intended – play the role of a third, fully-fledged voice. Expect a solid dose of bass pulsing with dub rhythms, intertwined with modern electronics and field recordings. The guarantor of a happy ending to this artistic romance will be Dynasonic, this time performing as a four-piece.
The continuation and, in a way, the grand finale of Thursday’s walk will be Friday’s Anibattle – an evening with live music by Dynasonic and animations mixed in real time across three “brain” walls. All this on Friday, April 24 in the evening, at Mózg. You really don’t want to miss it!
