"The 5-Second Rule" is a short film in pixilation technique by the group Invisible Friends. The film plays with the well-known "5-second rule" — a folk belief that food picked up from the floor within five seconds remains safe to eat. The authors ironize this self-deception, since germs don't recognize our made-up rules that allow us not to part with dropped food.

Out For Ice Cream/ Crème à glace, dir. Rachel Samson, Canada 2024, 9’11’’

Under a blazing summer sky, Chloe, Jenny (12 years old), and Squeegee (19 years old) share one last ice cream at the local dairy bar. It's a poetic animated chronicle of childhood friendship, its challenges in the face of adolescence, and the first fractures of friendship.

The Elephant Who Wasn't the Last/ Nie taki ostatni słoń, dir. Grzegorz Koncewicz, Poland 2025, 10’26’’

The story of an elephant with little confidence who escapes from the circus at the behest of a resourceful flea secretly living in his ear. After meeting an empathetic dog and getting to know the flea in his ear, the elephant gains confidence and returns to his natural habitat.

In silent scenes we see modern Athens transformed into tourist accommodation. The city suffocates under growing crowds and chaos. Suddenly, foul fumes rise from sewers, then liquid waste erupts from hotel toilets, spreading panic. Soon the same happens in major cities worldwide - a wave of filth engulfs the planet.

Inspired by Paul Éluard’s poem Homme Utile, DREAM is a magical escape from reality. Overwhelmed, a human drifts into a surreal dreamscape of vivid colours and fading logic. With gentle animals deemed “useless,” they journey through strange landscapes, seeking stillness, freedom, rest and the beauty of simply being.

Dog Ear, dir. Péter Vácz, Hungary 2025, 20’45’’

Eleven-year-old Berci spends an afternoon alone with his dog, struggling with the emotions left behind after witnessing his parents' violent fight the day before. As his suppressed feelings surface, he releases his anger and aggression in tense and emotional interactions with his dog. These raw expressions eventually help Berci find relief and discover the quiet, transformative strength of forgiveness.
