Ole Śpijsłodko / Ole-Luk-Oie, Joanna Jasińska-Koronkiewicz, Poland 2021, 13’20’’

An adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale presented as a magical journey into the land of sleep and imagination. It is an attempt to tame the phenomenon of dreams, the childish (and not only) fear of night and death. When Hjalmar falls asleep, Ole-Luk-Oie comes down from the moon and sits on the bedside. He invites Hjalmar on a journey through his dreams. He turns his room into a forest where Hjalmar’s books and notebooks can fly just like birds. Another time, Ole brings a swallow, which takes Hjalmar on a skyward expedition to the clouds as they fly to the moon at night. One day Ole introduces Hjalmar to his brother, who visits everyone on earth, but only once…


Kiko et les animaux / Kiko and the Animals, Yawen Zheng, France 2020, 7’28’’

Kiko is a nightmare for all the animals. He bullies them all the time, even the smallest mouse can't escape from him! How could the animals stand up and make him understand that they are just like him, capable of emotions, love, and deserve respect?

A pupil turns up to his new class for the first time. This pupil however is different to the others, he’s a frog in a class of rabbits.


 Tonka će sutra / Tonka will do it Tomorrow, Morana Dolenc, Croatia 2021, 7’16’’

Tonka likes putting things off for tomorrow. Homework, walking the dog or putting away her toys, it really doesn’t matter, because whatever job Tonka has to do, she’ll find a way to put it off for the next day. And so she got Tomorrowings, which attacks children who leave things for tomorrow.

A young wolf ventures out of his burrow for the first time, while his mother is busy hunting. Lost and frightened, he finds a shelter in a garden. Jeanne, Gaston and Louis, the hunters' children find him, and decide to bring him back to his home.

Tobi und der Turbobus / Tobi and the Turbobus, Verena Fels, Germany 2020, 7’30’’

You fly with no seat! That's the rule in the Turbobus. To get one is a hard day job for a young wolf on his turbo-journey to find real friendship.

Komorne / The Rent, Monika Kuczyniecka, Poland 2021, 4’06’’

With prices getting higher and higher everywhere, an elderly man and woman living by the river are struggling to make ends meet. They decide to move to the attic, and rent the downstairs to a rather eccentric couple ... charging them a copious amount. The film, based on a poem by Stefan Themerson, premiered at the 12th edition of the Themersons Festival in Płock. In this short, an attentive viewer will find many references to the rich body of work by the Themersons.
