film still from Bunnyhood, dir. Mansi Maheshwari

Animrocznie, a selection of short films with a Halloween twist, returns in a new format – as a dialogue between the two curators of the programme.

Tosia and Weronika set out looking for answers to their sneaking questions. As always, they found them in animation. Unfortunately this time, as the conversation went on, creeping darkness, weird coincidences and unsettling plot twists started to get out of control.

If, just like them, you find yourself wondering while brushing your teeth in the morning:

Can plasticine cause pain and terror? What can insomnia lead to? Is the wolf in the woods really the worst thing that can happen to Grandma? What does the soul do when the body dies? What secrets does an isolated emu farm hide? Why shouldn’t children watch commercials? And what is the night shift at a gas station really like?

That means this seance is for you.
