Garrano, dir. Vasco Sá, David Doutel, Portugal, 14'08"

A Garrano horse is forced to pull a heavy load under a blazing sun. Young boy Joel discovers a man who is about to set a forest on fire.

Ludwik I, król owiec, dir. Markus Wulf, Germany, 2022, 9'

One windy day, a sheep named Louis finds a paper crown and thus becomes Louise I. King of the Sheep. He addresses his people, tames nature, initiates celebrations, divides the sheep by color, and decides who should do what. Things are going royally. At least until the next gust of wind.

Very, Very, Tremendously, dir. Guangli LIU, China, 2021, 12'12"

Civilisation is a sewer. We think that garbage is the corpse of a commodity, because it loses its functionality, but we use a lot of 3d models of garbage in video games to decorate the virtual reality. We fill the volcano with residents’ excrement in the city simulation game, and let it erupt to flood the city, and we make a living by scavenging wastes on real garbage mountains, earning a few dollars per day. While we refer to crypto currency technology as a decentralized accounting method, we see that centralized capital uses it for asset appreciation. We, we, very, very, tremendously.

Despera, dir. Alicja Liss, Poland, 2022, 2’

The film is a contemplation of loneliness, isolation, and powerlessness. I started working on it during a lockdown, in a period of woman's strike protests in Poland at the beginning of 2021.

One Last Wish, dir. Galia Osmo, Israel, 2021, 10'20"

The Fisherman and the Fish folk tale comes to life, in a bitter-sweet animation. A lonely fisherman has a magical goldfish, who granted him three wishes. He already used two wishes to help others in need. Now he is facing a grave decision; after accidentally killing a stranger, he has to choose whether to keep his last wish and become a murderer. Or use it to save a stranger's life, but in doing so, he will lose the only thing that truly matters, his friend.

Hot Bun, dir. Calleen Koh, Singapore, 2022, 10'30"

In this strange polarised world of Hands and Butts, a single act of violence towards an oppressed Butt sets the media-verse ablaze.

El After del Mundo, dir. Florentina Gonzalez, Argentina, 11'

Mankind no longer exists, only Fluor and Carlix, two ghosts in sportswear, remain.

They wander among the remains of an extinct civilization, one in search of a Wi-Fi connection, the other in search of the head of a giant cetacean. A story of encounter and friendship, punctuated by a final playlist: that of the end of the world.
