Agnieszka Piotrowska-Prażuch

A graduate of film studies, deputy manager of the Amok studio cinema in Gliwice for past twenty years. She initiated and implemented many projects in the field of broadly understood film education and film events for young viewers (in Gliwice and Sosnowiec). She received an award of the Mayor of Gliwice in the Field of Culture in the category of dissemination and protection of culture and the Sunflower Award of 2016 - for the best initiative for children in Silesia and Zagłębie. She co-creates the success of the Amok cinema, which in 2013 received the Polish Film Institute Award for the Best Cinema in Poland and in 2017 for the Best Film Education in Poland. Jury member at the international film festivals for young viewers.Co-founder of the Team of Film Educators (“ZEF” pol. Zespół Edukatorów Filmowych). The initiative received support twice under the Collaborate to Innovate - program of the cinema network, Europa Cinemas (as one of two projects from Poland, thirteen awarded throughout Europe). In 2022, ZEF was awarded at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, by the Polish Film Institute in the Debut of the Year category.
