Meeting with an actress Anna Apostolakis-Gluzińska, laureate of Dubbing Achievement Award

"Shrek", "Ice Age", "Harry Potter", and Monika Geller from famous "Friends" – all these are examples where you could hear Anna Apostolakis-Gluzińska’s voice. More than 500 roles in animations, games, TV series and feature films make her one of the most important stars of polish dubbing. The artist was also a dubbing director of up to several dozen films and TV series.

It is not surprising that in 2019 it is going to be her to receive an Achievement in Dubbing Award granted by Animocje Festival, who is an only festival in Poland awarding celebrities from that branch of art.

Her voice is well-known to Polish animation lovers. She was born April 26, 1961 in Warsaw. She graduated from Department of Puppetry Arts from Theatre Academy in Warsaw (located in Bialystok).

The finest form of professionalism and the skill of taking up various roles, when attached to a characteristic tembre of her voice is what made the artist an unquestionable master of the dubbing. The greatest certificate of that are the 500 roles she has on her portfolio.

Her dubbing career started in 1990s. In 1994 she debuted in both a feature film Beethoven II and as Monica Gelles’s Polish voice in worldwide admired Friends. Only three years later she debuted in the world of video games. There, her first role was in Atlantis: The Lost Tales.

Among more than half a thousand dubbing roles it is significant to mention her participation in the biggest animated productions: Shrek, Ice Age, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Hotel Transylvania, Beauty and the Beast, Moomins and the Winter Wonderland, Olaf's Frozen Adventure, The Lion King II, Monsters University, Zootopia, Zootropolis.

Her voice can also be heard in video games. She dubbed characters in such games like Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, Diablo III: Reper of Souls, Star Wars: Battlefront II or The Witcher.

Anna Apostolakis-Gluzińska is an appreciated dubbing director as well. She directed the dubbing in a several dozen feature films and TV series, to name just a few: Coraline and the Secret Door, Karate Kid, Shrek Forever, The Amazing Spider-Man, Wonder, A Dog’s Purpose, Megamind, Annie, Nanny McPhee and Big Bang, Bella and Sebastian. Currently she is working as a dubbing director on the kids production Paw Patrol, in which she gives voice to Marshall, and Thomas & Friends – also a hit production for children.

As an actress and lector she appears in the in the Polish Radio and Television Theatre. She has a son, Wit, who also is dubbing actor.
